Swedish melodic metal supergroup CYHRA marks their 10th anniversary year with the release of their fourth studio album, Requiem For A Pipe Dream, out now via Reigning Phoenix Music. The band, featuring AMARANTHE co-founder Jake E alongside members of THE HALO EFFECT, KAMELOT, THE CROWN, and SUBURBAN TRIBE, also unveils a guitar playthrough video for the track ‚Venom In Me‘.Swedish melodic metal supergroup CYHRA has arrived at a milestone moment, releasing their fourth studio album Requiem For A Pipe Dream via Reigning Phoenix Music as they approach a decade together. The band unites AMARANTHE co-founder Jake E on vocals and keys with Jesper Strömblad of THE HALO EFFECT on bass and guitars, Marcus Sunesson of THE CROWN on guitars, Euge Valovirta of SUBURBAN TRIBE on guitars and bass, and Alex Landenburg of KAMELOT on drums — a lineup that reads like a who’s who of modern Scandinavian metal.

Alongside the album release, CYHRA have shared a guitar playthrough video for the high-powered track ‚Venom In Me‘. The band describes the song as an exploration of the forces that slowly poison a person from within — whether a destructive relationship, a persistent memory, an addiction, or one’s own inner voice. The track confronts the difficulty of escaping patterns that are known to be harmful, and ultimately poses the question of whether one allows that damage to define them or chooses to cut it out entirely.

The ten-track album includes songs such as ‚Bleed With Pride‘, ‚Superman‘, ‚Ghostbound‘, and ‚Box With Spirits‘. Founded in 2016, CYHRA broke through with their debut Letters To Myself in 2017 and built a global fanbase through tours supporting SABATON and KREATOR, alongside festival appearances at Bloodstock Open Air and 70,000 Tons of Metal. Their 2019 album No Halos In Hell spawned the single ‚Out Of My Life‘, which has accumulated approximately 11 million streams on Spotify. Requiem For A Pipe Dream is available now.
