East Frisian death metal veterans TEMPLE OF DREAD have released a lyric video for ‚Hybrid Horde Eternal‘, the latest advance single from their forthcoming sixth studio album ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘. The record is scheduled for release on August 7, 2026, via Testimony Records.TEMPLE OF DREAD are keeping the momentum building toward their sixth full-length with the unveiling of a lyric video for ‚Hybrid Horde Eternal‘, a new advance single lifted from the forthcoming album ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘, due August 7, 2026, on Testimony Records.
The track holds a notable distinction within the TEMPLE OF DREAD catalogue: it marks the first song written entirely by vocalist Jens Finger. Guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer explains that while the track retains the band’s signature death metal trademarks, it incorporates doom elements and breaks from the group’s customary lyrical focus on ancient Greek mythology in favour of an old biblical theme.
Musically, ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘ sees TEMPLE OF DREAD expanding their sonic palette further, building on the cinematic darkness that began taking shape on their previous albums ‚Beyond Acheron‘ (2023) and ‚God of the Godless‘ (2024). Lyrics across the album were penned by long-time collaborator Frank ‚Doc‘ Albers, with familiar narrative threads — including the clash between Charon and Hades — running throughout.
The striking cover artwork was created by Italian artist Paolo Girardi, while production, mixing, and mastering were handled by TEMPLE OF DREAD drummer Jörg Uken at his Soundlodge Studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany — a facility also frequented by DEW-SCENTED, GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY, and SUICIDAL ANGELS.
New members Daniel Maurer on guitar and Andi Bauer on bass have strengthened the Frisian outfit’s line-up both on stage and in the studio. ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘ will be available as a limited splatter vinyl LP, black vinyl LP, and Jewelcase CD.
