LEPER COLONY have dropped their first advance track ‚These Blades‘, taken from their forthcoming third full-length ‚Back to Primal Sludge‘. The international death metal trio’s new album is set for release on October 9, 2026, via Testimony Records.LEPER COLONY are back with a vengeance, unveiling the brutal video single ‚These Blades‘ as the first taste of their upcoming third studio album ‚Back to Primal Sludge‘, scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, through Testimony Records.
Described by guitarist Rogga Johansson as a track that ‚whips uptempo filth your way and opens up a new breathing hole in your neck‘, ‚These Blades‘ delivers meaty riffs, mercilessly pounding drums and a vocal performance that the band themselves describe as striking a perfect equilibrium between the American and Swedish approaches to death metal. The clip also marks Rogga Johansson’s first ever on-screen appearance in a music video.
With ‚Back to Primal Sludge‘, LEPER COLONY continue their relentless pursuit of the ideal blend between Floridian and Stockholm old school death metal, building directly upon their 2025 sophomore record ‚Those of the Morbid‘ while refining the formula further. German vocalist Marc Grewe, known from MORGOTH, INSIDIOUS DISEASE and ASINHELL, leads the charge alongside Johansson, whose extensive catalogue spans PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER and REVOLTING, among many others. British drummer Jon Rudin, familiar from MONSTROUS and DEAD SUN, completes the trio.
The nine-track album will be available as a limited splatter orange and black vinyl LP, standard black vinyl LP and Jewelcase CD. Pre-orders are live now via the SPKR store.
