LORDI, three-time Eurovision champion Johnny Logan and Finnish metal vocalist Noora Louhimo have joined forces for a bold song swap celebrating two iconic Eurovision victories. The collaboration sees Logan record a pop-rock version of LORDI’s ‚Hard Rock Hallelujah‘, while LORDI and Louhimo deliver a metal reimagining of Logan’s classic ballad ‚Hold Me Now‘.In a collaboration as unexpected as it is compelling, Finnish hard rock outfit LORDI, Irish Eurovision legend Johnny Logan and Finnish metal powerhouse Noora Louhimo have united for one of the most ambitious song swaps in Eurovision history. The project marks both the 20th anniversary of LORDI’s groundbreaking 2006 Eurovision victory and the 70th anniversary of the contest itself.
The concept was born out of a spontaneous phone call that, according to Logan, quickly stretched well beyond its scheduled quarter-hour. Rather than settling for a straightforward duet, the artists decided on a full exchange of iconic winning songs. Logan takes on LORDI’s anthemic ‚Hard Rock Hallelujah‘ in a pop-rock arrangement, while LORDI transforms Logan’s beloved power ballad ‚Hold Me Now‘ into a heavy metal statement, with Noora Louhimo lending her formidable vocal firepower to the track.
LORDI himself spearheaded the creative process, rearranging and recomposing both tracks. Louhimo, widely recognised as the former lead vocalist of BATTLE BEAST where she developed her ‚Motherbeast‘ persona over 13 years, departed the band in December 2025 to pursue a solo career. This collaboration marks one of her first major releases as a full-time solo artist.
Due to Ireland’s participation in a broader ESC boycott, Logan will be unable to perform the project live at this year’s contest, though LORDI will take to the Eurovision stage. The three artists have spoken warmly of the personal connection forged through the project, united by a shared passion for music and, as Logan notes, a mutual appreciation for dark humour.
