International power metal act ASTERISE have released their new single ‚Rapid Fire‘, a high-octane three-minute track featuring AVANTASIA vocalist Herbie Langhans and SHADOWQUEST drummer Ronny Milianowicz. The release marks the second collaboration between these musicians and signals a turning point as the band prepares to focus on a full-length album.International power metal outfit ASTERISE have unleashed ‚Rapid Fire‘, a new single released on May 15th, 2026, through Inverse Records. The track is the brainchild of guitarist and primary songwriter Bartlomiej Mezynski, who once again joined forces with two well-regarded names in the European metal scene: Herbie Langhans, known for his work with AVANTASIA, handles vocal duties, while Ronny Milianowicz of SHADOWQUEST sits behind the drum kit. Milianowicz also handled the mixing and mastering of the single.
Clocking in at approximately three minutes, ‚Rapid Fire‘ lives up to its title with relentless guitar riffing, powerful vocals, and an unrelenting energetic pace. Thematically, the track explores the sensation of time passing too quickly and the human tendency to dwell in the past — weighty subject matter delivered with punchy, direct force.
The single’s lineup is rounded out by Ariel Perchuk on keyboards, with all composition and lyrics credited to Mezynski. Cover artwork was handled by Dream Visual Productions.
In a statement, Mezynski described the track as „short but very powerful and a real banger,“ adding that ‚Rapid Fire‘ represents the final single ASTERISE will release ahead of a shift in focus toward a new full-length album. The announcement positions this release as both a standalone statement and a preview of what is to come from the international act. The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.
