Doncaster-based metal outfit CIRCLE OF ORIGIN have released their new single ‚Watching The Walls‘, setting the stage for their sophomore EP ‚Gallows‘, due on 12th June 2026. The track arrives as the band expands its lineup with the addition of bassist John Heaver, signalling a bold new chapter for the British unit.Doncaster, UK-based metal act CIRCLE OF ORIGIN have unveiled their latest single, ‚Watching The Walls‘, released on 17th April 2026. The track serves as both a standalone release and the opening salvo from their forthcoming five-track sophomore EP, ‚Gallows‘, scheduled to arrive on all major digital platforms on 12th June 2026.
Built on gripping metal-edged riffs, pulsing rhythms, and tension-laden dynamics, ‚Watching The Walls‘ delivers the kind of colossal sound CIRCLE OF ORIGIN have become known for — a fusion of modern metal and classic rock executed with precision and raw intensity. Lyrically, the track explores emotional struggle, the distortion of reality, and the consuming weight of inner darkness.
The release also marks a significant development within the band’s ranks. Founding members Danny Porter (vocals), Andy Wordsworth (guitar), Rick Williamson (guitar), and Scott Emery (drums) are now joined by John Heaver on bass, adding a new dimension to their already formidable sonic architecture.
Following the well-received 2025 debut EP ‚Guilty Til Proven Innocent‘, CIRCLE OF ORIGIN returned to Axis Recording Studios in the UK to collaborate once again with producer Matt Elliss. The resulting ‚Gallows‘ EP pushes deeper into the band’s cross-genre approach, weaving alternative metal with stadium rock grandeur. Drawing on influences including Stone Sour, Foo Fighters, Shinedown, and Aerosmith, the band craft a compelling journey of dual guitar interplay, anthemic structures, and emotionally charged vocal performances.
The ‚Gallows‘ EP tracklist runs as follows: ‚Watching The Walls‘, ‚Nothing (At All)‘, ‚What Have I Become?‘, ‚Life Without‘, and ‚Unto The Fire‘.
