Italian heavy metal veterans BURNING BLACK have released a brand new version of ‚Soulless Stone‘, originally featured on their third album ‚Remission Of Sin‘. The band also announces a guitarist change and confirms that writing for their fifth album is now complete.Italian heavy metal outfit BURNING BLACK are making their return with a revisited version of ‚Soulless Stone‘, a track originally featured on their third album ‚Remission Of Sin‘. According to singer Max De Nardi, the inspiration for the rework came from an unexpected source: a marathon viewing session of the Rocky film saga, which convinced the band that the song carried all the hallmarks of a cinematic anthem.
Alongside the single, BURNING BLACK have recorded a Metal Medley that was a staple of their live performances, featuring covers of ‚Metal God‘ by JUDAS PRIEST, ‚Metal Daze‘ by MANOWAR, and ‚Metal Heart‘ by ACCEPT. The medley serves as a tribute to the classic heavy metal tradition that has defined the band’s identity since their formation.
The release also comes with a significant line-up update. Guitarist Davide Carraro, who performed the solos on this release, has parted ways with the band after two years of collaboration. BURNING BLACK have welcomed Albert Marshall as his replacement, who is set to make his live debut with the band on June 5th at the SuperMetalFest in Vicenza.
Perhaps most notably, the band confirms that songwriting for their fifth studio album is now complete, with recording sessions scheduled for the summer. For a band that has long been considered one of Italy’s most dedicated forces in traditional heavy metal, the announcement signals a renewed sense of momentum and ambition heading into a new chapter.
