SEA SLEEPER have released ‚Manifestor,‘ their most ambitious track to date, clocking in at eight minutes and showcasing a sweeping, progressive sound. The song serves as the latest preview of their sophomore album, Burden of Antlers, due September 18, 2026.SEA SLEEPER have returned with a statement of intent. The quartet’s newly released single ‚Manifestor‘ is the longest track the band has ever committed to record, stretching across eight minutes of dynamic, progressive heavy metal that marks a clear evolution in their songwriting approach. The track is the second preview of Burden of Antlers, the band’s forthcoming sophomore full-length, scheduled for release on September 18, 2026, via C Squared Music.
Where many bands lean on constant momentum to maintain listener engagement, SEA SLEEPER take the opposite route on ‚Manifestor.‘ Themes and motifs introduced early in the track resurface and transform as the song progresses, creating a circular, immersive structure that rewards attentive listening. The result is a piece that feels cohesive despite its sprawling runtime, shifting through emotional and sonic extremes without ever losing its sense of direction.
Burden of Antlers builds on the foundation laid by the band’s acclaimed 2021 debut, Nostophobia, released via Metal Assault Records, which earned SEA SLEEPER a top-ten album-of-the-year placement at Noob Heavy and a top-seven finish at GBHBL. For the new record, the band has taken a more deliberate creative approach, favouring depth and development over variety for its own sake.
Formed in 2019 by Jesse Cooley, Shane Cooley, and Nick Kessler, SEA SLEEPER completed their current lineup with the addition of lead guitarist Tony Spradlin in 2022. The four-piece describe their sound as a fusion of death and post metal, bolstered by a wide range of genre influences that keep their music unpredictable and emotionally resonant.
