PRO-PAIN drop title track ‚Stone Cold Anger‘ + lyric video ahead of new album

New York hardcore veterans PRO-PAIN have unleashed the title track and lyric video for their upcoming album ‚Stone Cold Anger‘, due May 15, 2026 via Napalm Records. The release marks the band’s first studio album in eleven years and coincides with the launch of an extensive European tour. After an eleven-year studio absence, New York hardcore heavyweights PRO-PAIN are making their return impossible to ignore. The band has released ‚Stone Cold Anger‘ as the final preview single from their forthcoming sixteenth studio album of the same name, set to arrive on May 15, 2026 via Napalm Records — the group’s label debut.

The title track charges forward with melodic guitars and explosive vocals, capturing the raw urgency that has defined PRO-PAIN across more than three decades. Frontman and bassist Gary Meskil offered his perspective on the song’s thematic core: ‚Stone Cold Anger gives voice to the frustration millions are feeling right now — endless conflicts, persistent corruption, and the erosion of the rights people expect their elected officials to protect.‘

The album also marks the return of guitarist Eric Klinger to the lineup alongside Meskil, drummer Jonas Sanders, and lead guitarist Greg Discenza. Across ten tracks — including the punishing opener ‚Oceans Of Blood‘, the anthemic ‚Scorched Earth‘, and the groove-driven ‚March Of The Giants‘ — PRO-PAIN demonstrate that the decade away from the studio has done nothing to dull their edge.

Critical reception has been emphatic. Rock Hard called it potentially the band’s strongest work since their landmark debut ‚Foul Taste Of Freedom‘ in 1993, while Rock Tribune described it as one of their most powerful records to date.

PRO-PAIN launched a sweeping European live run on May 13 in Essen, with dates spanning Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, and the Czech Republic through the remainder of 2026. ‚Stone Cold Anger‘ will be available on limited splatter vinyl, solid orange vinyl, CD digipak, and digitally.
