Swedish progressive metal masters EVERGREY have unveiled their third pre-album single, ‚Leaving The Emptiness‘, alongside an official music video. The new single strikes with an immediately arresting chorus that balances euphoric major-key momentum against the emotional weight of its lyrical subject matter. Frontman Tom S. Englund has described the track as a visceral, high-energy piece that has already proven itself live, having been performed twice in Brazil to rapturous crowd response. Beneath its adrenaline-driven surface, the song confronts the moment of turning to face pain rather than continuing to flee from it — a recurring theme in EVERGREY’s deeply introspective catalogue.
The album was produced by Englund alongside Vikram Shankar and mixed by Adam ‚Nolly‘ Getgood, a combination that promises both sonic precision and emotional depth. Guest appearances include Mikael Stanne of DARK TRANQUILLITY on the track ‚A Burning Flame‘, uniting two of Gothenburg’s most celebrated voices.
Adding further significance to the release, EVERGREY are set to appear as special guests for IRON MAIDEN on selected dates of the ‚Run For Your Lives World Tour‘ shortly after the album drops. The band will also support HAMMERFALL across North America in September and October 2026, making this one of their most expansive years on record.
