Formed in early 2026, DATURA LODGE is the musical partnership of Nicky B on bass and vocals, and „W“ on guitar and vocals, both based out of Bergen County, New Jersey. The two have performed together since their early teens, bringing a wealth of shared musical history to their new project.

The debut single „Mummy“ features a guest keyboard performance by Adam Holzman, whose explosive solo becomes the emotional centrepiece of the track. Lyrically, the song confronts themes of grief and generational disillusionment, exploring how younger generations have been left behind by those in positions of power and wealth. The arrangement begins with a dreamy, atmospheric quality before shifting into something far more intense, showcasing the dynamic compositional range that defines DATURA LODGE’s sound.

The forthcoming album was produced by DATURA LODGE and Ben Karas, with recording sessions split between Frightbox Recording in Passaic, NJ, and Frost Gauntlet Recording in Lyndhurst, NJ. Karas also handled mixing duties, while mastering was completed by Andy VanDette at Evolve Mastering. Cover artwork was created by Samantha Feyerabend-Muljat. Across the nine-track album, Adam Holzman contributes keyboards and Russell Holzman performs drums, with Karas lending violin to the track „Stone“. Citing GENESIS, KING CRIMSON, THE MARS VOLTA, and RUSH as primary influences, DATURA LODGE aim to balance progressive complexity with immediate, hook-driven songwriting.
