Azorean heavy metal veterans MORBID DEATH have released an official 4K music video for ‚World of Lies‘, taken from their latest album ‚Veil of Ashes‘. The record dropped on March 13, 2026, via Firecum Records and Museu do Heavy Metal Açoriano, marking another chapter in the band’s three-decade legacy.MORBID DEATH, one of the most enduring forces in the Azorean heavy metal scene, have unveiled an official 4K music video for ‚World of Lies‘, the latest single drawn from their recently released album ‚Veil of Ashes‘. The record arrived on March 13, 2026, through Firecum Records and Museu do Heavy Metal Açoriano, adding a significant new entry to a discography built over more than thirty years of relentless dedication.

Founded in September 1990 by Ricardo Santos, Dinis Costa, Miguel Verissimo and Pedro Rodrigues, MORBID DEATH emerged from the Azores with an ambition to forge a sound entirely their own. From the beginning, the band set itself apart through sheer determination, channelling the geographic and cultural isolation of island life into a musical identity that resonated far beyond the archipelago.

Over the decades, MORBID DEATH have navigated demo tapes, full-length albums, music videos, tours and multiple line-up changes, always with founding member Ricardo Santos at the helm. That consistency of vision has allowed the band to reinvent itself repeatedly while retaining its core identity.

The current line-up features Ricardo Santos on vocals and bass, Joao Raposo and Helder Pinheiro on guitars, and Pedro Sousa on drums. With ‚Veil of Ashes‘ and the accompanying visual for ‚World of Lies‘, MORBID DEATH demonstrate that their drive to push boundaries remains as sharp as ever. The legacy, it seems, is far from finished.
