IMMOLATION Unleash 12th Album ‚Descent‘ & New Music Video

New York death metal legends IMMOLATION have released their twelfth studio album, Descent, alongside a music video for the track ‚Bend Towards The Dark‘. The album arrives as the band embarks on an extensive Spring 2026 North American tour alongside BEHEMOTH, DEICIDE, and ROTTING CHRIST.New York death metal icons IMMOLATION have unleashed their twelfth studio album, Descent, marking another formidable chapter in one of the genre’s most storied careers. The record arrives via Nuclear Blast Records and is available on CD, LP, and digital formats.

To accompany the release, IMMOLATION have dropped a music video for album track ‚Bend Towards The Dark‘, a song the band describes as one of the most ambitious on the record. Blending their trademark sonic brutality with expansive, almost orchestral arrangements, the track showcases a band still willing to push boundaries after decades at the forefront of extreme metal.

Descent was recorded across two facilities: guitars, bass, and vocals were tracked by Justin Passamonte at Jpass Music, while drums were captured at Mercinary Studios with Noah Buchanan. Long-time collaborator Zack Ohren handled mixing, mastering, and co-production duties, delivering a muscular, high-fidelity result that serves both the band’s most ferocious and most brooding moments with equal precision.

Visually, the album features cover artwork by returning collaborator Eliran Kantor, complemented by interior booklet illustrations from Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design.

The ten-track album includes songs such as ‚These Vengeful Winds‘, ‚God’s Last Breath‘, and the title track ‚Descent‘. IMMOLATION are currently trekking across North America on the Godless IV 2026 Tour alongside BEHEMOTH, DEICIDE, and ROTTING CHRIST, with festival appearances at Rockstadt Extreme Fest and Brutal Assault also confirmed later in the year.

IMIMOLATION features Ross Dolan on bass and vocals, Robert Vigna and Alex Bouks on guitars, and Steve Shalaty on drums.
