Hard rock allstar outfit DEVIL’S TRAIN is set to release their self-titled 2012 debut album for the first time on dark-red coloured vinyl on June 19, 2026. The re-release also includes a new CD edition and marks the band’s signing to Fireflash Records. The milestone release features the unmistakable voice of R.D. Liapakis, current frontman of the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP and MYSTIC PROPHECY.Hard rock allstar formation DEVIL’S TRAIN is bringing their self-titled debut album back into the spotlight in a significant way. Originally released in 2012, the record will appear for the first time on dark-red coloured vinyl on June 19, 2026, alongside a new CD Jewelcase edition via Fireflash Records — the label with which the band has also signed a new recording deal.
The debut, which earned the band comparisons to adrenaline-fuelled hard rock of the classic era, features twelve tracks driven by raw rhythms, razor-sharp riffs and the commanding vocals of R.D. Liapakis. The Greek-born frontman, currently known as the voice of the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP and heavy metal institution MYSTIC PROPHECY, lends the album its distinctive character across standout cuts such as „Fire And Water“, „Roll The Dice“ and the anthemic title track „Devil’s Train“. The record closes with a nod to 1970s rock heritage via a cover of „American Woman“.
Rounding out the lineup are drumming legend Jörg Michael (ex-SAXON, ex-STRATOVARIUS, ex-RUNNING WILD), Finnish bassist Jari Kainulainen (MASTERPLAN, ex-EVERGREY, ex-STRATOVARIUS) and guitarist Lakis Ragazas, later known from MYSTIC PROPHECY.
„Our sound belongs on vinyl,“ said Liapakis. „The record is blood-red like our logo on the cover and burns just as we did back then — and still do today.“
Following the debut, DEVIL’S TRAIN released „II“ in 2015 and „Ashes and Bones“ in 2022. The band is currently writing material for a fourth studio album, expected in spring 2027 on Fireflash Records. Pre-orders for the re-release are available now.
