WINTERFYLLETH Sign with Napalm Records — New Album The Unyielding Season Arrives March 27, 2026, First Single/Video “Heroes of a Hundred Fields” Out Now

Napalm Records and British black metal pioneers WINTERFYLLETH are joining forces. To celebrate the new record deal, the band announces their ninth album, The Unyielding Season, for March 27, 2026. It weaves commentary on world events into elegant poetry. Where its predecessor, The Imperious Horizon (2024), described a threat lurking in the distance, that danger has now become real in The Unyielding Season. Previously calculating and cold, WINTERFYLLETH now ignite a wildfire. Their first album under a new label is both reflection and rebellion in the face of countless conflicts that tear individuals apart and divide people, a revolt against everything that is untenable, unsettling, and unyielding.

As a first taste of the blazing release, the British band sends „Heroes of a Hundred Fields“ into the field. On it, WINTERFYLLETH weaves an epic narrative around a raging battle hymn, describing the courage to stand up against oppression and fight for freedom.

WINTERFYLLETH on „Heroes of a Hundred Fields“:
„‚Heroes of a Hundred Fields‘ is set in a time of war, on a battlefield, and deals with warriors who unite as brothers to face a powerful, oppressive, and domineering enemy. It’s about people coming together and fighting for their freedoms instead of submitting to those who attack them and try to weaken (or completely eliminate) those freedoms. Many ideas and plans in recent years have apparently been aimed at slowly, piece by piece, undermining people’s personal freedoms until they disappear. This song is about lighting the torches of rebellion against those who undermine the life and liberty that we all—hopefully—hold dear.“

In an environment consumed by pressure and fear, which is becoming more difficult by the day, WINTERFYLLETH offers both respite and resistance. The world is in flames, and The Unyielding Season is a warning.

WINTERFYLLETH on The Unyielding Season:
„2026 marks big changes for WINTERFYLLETH! A new label, a new member, a new album, and the band’s 20th anniversary. We look forward to what this new chapter will bring, and as a result, we can now share our ninth album, The Unyielding Season, with the world. Where its predecessor, The Imperious Horizon, spoke of a distant threat, The Unyielding Season now deals with how that threat becomes reality. It is a flare-up against the calculating coldness of before, a bold statement against the prevailing winds of our time. It is also a powerful and infectious first release, sealing our new collaboration with Napalm Records.
In many ways, the new album is a reflection of—and active rebellion against—the turmoil and fears that are tearing many people’s lives apart. It is a rebellion against the unsustainable, constant pressure exerted on the world by representatives of a tireless and unyielding force of evil. We hope that the album resonates and moves souls – that it gives hope. But we also hope that it prompts listeners to question their own circumstances and provides an opportunity to question the disturbing state of the world in which we all live.“
