DELAIN undergo an exciting creative change, in which they are accompanied by an extraordinary series of musicians. The band opens their musical world in a new setup for different voices, personalities and perspectives. Part of this new chapter are well-known faces such as Marko Hietala, Sharon the Noble (Within Temptation), Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie), Anneke van Giersbergen and more. The full list can be found below.
The artists mentioned will contribute their own identity to DELAIN, some of them even accompany the band on stage. DELAIN already gives the first look into the new era today with the release of the first single „We Are Fire“, with contributions by Fabienne Erni, Noa Gruman and Paolo Ribaldini. At the same time, this marks the farewell of singer Diana Leah, who has decided to resign from her activities at DELAIN after many years together. Where their departure brings a feeling of sadness, the band looks with great gratitude at everything they shared with each other.
At the heart of DELAIN remains its founder, songwriter and keyboardist Martijn Westerholt. In addition to him, Ludovico Cioffi, Ronald Landa and Sander Zoer form the core of the project.
Martijn Westerholt commented:
„‚We Are Fire‘ revolves around the inner fire that drives us, even when the path forward is uncertain. It’s about daring to cross borders, and standing by what you believe in. For me, this captures the spirit of what DELAIN matures to. A place where different voices and personalities come together and each bring something of their own, while all share the same fire.”
