French ritualists SKÁLD lift the veil and grant us another glimpse into our ancient destiny. “Himinbjǫrg”, the second single from their forthcoming album Ørlǫg (due for release on 25 September 2026 via Napalm Records), reaches right to the edge of Asgard, the realm of the gods. In the castle of the same name in the heavens, Heimdall watches over the rainbow bridge Bifröst, keeping an eye out for intruders. SKÁLD lend the guardian of Asgard a powerful voice, turning the song into a guide through our often-misty destiny that is as haunting as it is soothing. The drum-driven track extends the folk band’s invitation to immerse oneself in ancient times and dance with reawakened spirits.
