Berlin thrash metal outfit SPACE CHASER have released a lyric visualiser for their new track ‚Blade Serpents‘, the latest advance single from their forthcoming fourth studio album ‚Razorblade Bay‘. The track arrives as one of several advance singles previewing what promises to be a ferocious record. Co-produced by Andy Brings of SODOM, ‚Razorblade Bay‘ was recorded and mixed by Jan Oberg at Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin, with artwork handled by Mario E. López. Brings also contributes guest vocals on the album track ‚8 Minutes‘.
Frontman and guitarist Leo Schacht, who created the visualiser himself, describes ‚Blade Serpents‘ with characteristic wit and intensity: the song depicts bioelectric snake-like organisms with exoskeletons of conductive alloys that hunt using lightning and wield whips capable of cutting through metal. The track itself is every bit as relentless as that concept suggests.
Founded in Berlin in 2011, SPACE CHASER have steadily built a reputation as one of Germany’s most compelling live thrash acts. Their third album ‚Give Us Life‘ (2021) reached position 24 on the German album charts, and the band subsequently played Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, and Party.San. Following a line-up change in 2023, Schacht stepped into the lead vocalist role, and the reformed band returned to the stage with renewed energy.
‚Razorblade Bay‘ will be available as limited splatter vinyl, tri-coloured vinyl, standard black vinyl, and Jewelcase CD. SPACE CHASER support dates are confirmed for August and September 2026 across Germany, including a Berlin release show on September 12.
