Finnish rock outfit MOON SHOT have released their new single ‚False Heroes‘, available now on all streaming platforms. The track serves as the latest preview of their forthcoming third studio album ‚Thunderlust‘, set for release on 18 September, which is now available to pre-order.MOON SHOT are back with a statement of intent. The Finnish rock band have unleashed their new single ‚False Heroes‘, a driving anthem that balances the intimacy of a club show with the scope of a festival stage. Built on dynamic grooves, hooky melodies and fearless riffing, the track exemplifies the sonic freedom that has become the hallmark of MOON SHOT’s sound.
Lyrically, ‚False Heroes‘ is a call to arms against conformity and false idols. Guitarist and principal songwriter Jussi describes it as a versatile rock song built from a bold combination of groove styles and interlocking guitar and drum riffs that feel, as he puts it, as though they were always meant for each other. Vocalist and lyricist Ville frames the song as a piece of peaceful counterculture, compressing themes of disobedience, courage and collective change into just over 200 seconds of rock music.
‚False Heroes‘ follows previously released singles ‚No Walls‘ and ‚Hammer Of Changes‘, and forms part of the broader vision behind ‚Thunderlust‘, an album rooted in honesty, intuition and fearless self-expression. The record is available to pre-order on CD and vinyl, with an exclusive splatter vinyl edition available solely through the band’s official webshop.
To support the release, MOON SHOT will embark on a headline tour through Germany in autumn 2026, taking in Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg, Bochum, Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Hannover. Ticket and bundle packages combining concert entry with limited early-bird album editions are available now through the band’s official channels.
