As a final teaser ahead of the release, the band has shared a live rendition of ‚Ewige Wacht‘, the title track of their 2023 studio album which marked their most significant chart success to date, reaching number 15 in the German Album Charts.
Recorded at the band’s own Wolfszeit Festival, the live album captures 16 tracks spanning VARG’s entire discography, from the early split-EP track ‚Aufzug der Heere‘ to the crowd-favourite anthem ‚Ewige Wacht‘. Filmed with 13 cameras, the production offers an immersive audio-visual experience that translates the energy of the band’s celebrated home festival to both audio and Blu-ray formats.
Frontman Freki leads the ensemble through a set defined by fiery stage production, elaborate light installations and the kind of devoted crowd participation that has cemented VARG’s position at the top of the German pagan metal scene for over a decade. The album is available as a 1-Blu-ray plus 1-CD DVDpack, as well as digitally via Thunderflix, Amazon Prime and standard digital platforms.
VARG are set to perform at several festivals throughout 2026, including the Wolfszeit Festival on August 20-21 in Eisfeld, Germany, and will headline the VARGFEST 2026 in Leipzig on December 18.
