APOSTLE Unveil New Single „Illusion of Loss“ Ahead of June Album

Atlanta metal trio APOSTLE have released their new single „Illusion of Loss,“ offering the first taste of their forthcoming album ‚A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon,‘ due June 5, 2026 via Terminus Hate City. The track channels themes of grief, identity, and emotional resilience through a dynamic and meticulously crafted arrangement that showcases the band at their most focused.Atlanta-based metal trio APOSTLE have unveiled „Illusion of Loss,“ the lead single from their upcoming full-length album ‚A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon,‘ scheduled for release on June 5, 2026 through Terminus Hate City.

The track opens with a sharp breath before settling into an angular, moody guitar and bass melody layered over a half-time drum groove. Vocalist and guitarist Murice White navigates the arrangement with precision, his cadence locking into the rhythm before the song drops into an introspective arpeggiated passage driven by a rolling snare. From there, the composition builds toward a mid-tempo blast beat, expanding in scope as White’s tremolo-picked lead cuts through with urgency.

Bassist Michael Thomas provides a melodic anchor beneath shifting textures while drummer Evan Price steers the track through a driving double bass pattern before the song returns to its opening movement. A distorted spoken sample closes the track, describing barely livable urban conditions and extending the song’s thematic reach beyond the personal.

Lyrically, „Illusion of Loss“ examines the fragility of life and the isolation grief can bring, exploring how loss reshapes identity and how memory can ultimately guide purpose. The album title itself draws from Carl Jung’s description of humanity as a „splinter in the infinite deity,“ framing the record as an exploration of spiritual duality and self-examination across six tracks and 27 minutes.

‚A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon‘ was produced, engineered, and mixed by Connor Ray at Sobek Sound and mastered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights. It represents APOSTLE’s most refined and expansive work to date, bridging chaotic hardcore, grind, post-black metal, and atmospheric post-rock into a cohesive and emotionally resonant whole.
