ONLY ECHOES Unveil New Single ‚So Tightly Bound‘ Ahead of Album Born Adrift

Denver post-metal instrumentalists ONLY ECHOES have released ‚So Tightly Bound,‘ the latest single from their forthcoming album Born Adrift, due August 14, 2026 via Braeburn Records. The cinematic track charts a narrative arc from tension to triumph, cementing the band’s reputation for emotionally resonant, vocal-free composition.Denver-based instrumental post-metal quartet ONLY ECHOES have unveiled ‚So Tightly Bound,‘ the second single to emerge from their upcoming full-length record Born Adrift, scheduled for release on August 14, 2026 through Braeburn Records.

A six-minute instrumental journey, ‚So Tightly Bound‘ moves through three distinct emotional phases: an anxious, foreboding opening, a climactic mid-section of surging intensity, and a triumphant final stretch that pulls the listener clear of danger. Despite a sinister undercurrent woven throughout, the track never abandons its sense of forward momentum or hope.

For ONLY ECHOES, the song carries a rare distinction within their catalog. As an instrumental band, the group frequently renames compositions as they evolve through rehearsal and rewriting. ‚So Tightly Bound,‘ however, has retained its title since the day it was conceived. The band describes the track as the cinematic equivalent of a daring escape sequence — a hero captured, then fighting free, eyes fixed on the horizon.

Born Adrift was produced, engineered, and mixed by guitarist Austin Minney at All Aces Studio, with mastering handled by Brad Smalling at Evergroove. The album artwork reimagines an 1876 Gustave Doré engraving from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, with color and illustration work contributed by Denver artist Celeste Hayes.

Comprised of guitarists Austin Minney and Dustin Yourishin, bassist Ben Rosenberg, and drummer Zach Sirotkin, ONLY ECHOES have built their sound at the intersection of post-rock atmosphere and sludge-informed heaviness, drawing comparisons to RUSSIAN CIRCLES, PELICAN, and ISIS. Born Adrift will mark their second full-length album, following the 2022 debut Sunsickness.
