German punk metal veterans SERUM 114 are celebrating two decades of band history with a special anniversary tour in spring 2027. Rather than releasing a standard best-of compilation, the band is taking the celebration where it belongs: on stage, in the moshpit, alongside their most loyal fans.Two decades is a milestone most bands never reach, and SERUM 114 are marking their 20th anniversary in characteristically uncompromising fashion. Forgoing the predictable route of a greatest hits record, the German punk metal outfit has announced the ‚Wir machen zwei Kreuze‘ Tour 2027, a five-date run through some of the country’s most beloved rock venues.
The tour kicks off on 15 April 2027 at the Matrix in Bochum, before moving on to the Hellraiser in Leipzig on 16 April and the Gruenspan in Hamburg on 17 April. The run concludes with two southern dates: Munich’s Backstage on 22 April and Frankfurt’s Batschkapp on 23 April.
According to the band’s announcement, the setlist will feature rare older material alongside fan-favourite classics, with former touring companions set to appear as support acts — a nod to the community that has surrounded SERUM 114 throughout their career. The atmosphere promises to be anything but formal, with sweat replacing speeches and beer standing in for champagne.
The name of the tour itself is a tongue-in-cheek reference to a German idiom: where most people would ‚make three crosses‘ — meaning breathe a huge sigh of relief — SERUM 114 are only making two, suggesting the ride is far from over.
