Swedish rock heavyweights TAKIDA have released their brand-new single ‚Everything’s Wasted‘, accompanied by an official lyric video. The five-piece, one of Scandinavia’s most successful rock exports, also announces a 16-date tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland in January 2027, with special guests AD INFINITUM.TAKIDA, the Swedish rock institution founded in 1999, continue their remarkable trajectory with the release of ‚Everything’s Wasted‘, a brooding and melodically rich new single that arrives alongside an official lyric video. The track further cements the band’s reputation for crafting emotionally resonant rock anthems driven by the unmistakable vocals of Robert Pettersson.
The release builds on the momentum of TAKIDA’s 2024 album ‚The Agony Flame‘, which debuted at number eight on the German album charts — the band’s highest-ever entry in that market. The lead single from that record, ‚The Loneliest Hour‘, topped the German rock airplay charts, demonstrating just how deeply TAKIDA have connected with audiences far beyond their Scandinavian home.
Describing the emotional core of the new track, vocalist Robert Pettersson states that the song deals with surrendering to hopelessness and accepting darkness as a permanent state — a theme rendered all the more powerful by the band’s signature blend of melodic weight and lyrical honesty.
‚Everything’s Wasted‘ is now available on all major streaming platforms worldwide.
Looking ahead, TAKIDA will bring their celebrated live show back to Europe with a summer run across Sweden and Finland before embarking on the Section 7 Tour 2027. The 16-date run through Germany, Austria and Switzerland kicks off on 9 January 2027 in Munich and concludes on 30 January in Pratteln, Switzerland. German-Swiss modern metal outfit AD INFINITUM will join as special guests throughout the dates.
