The Frankfurt-based quartet was founded in 2020 during the pandemic lockdown, when guitarist Uwe Lulis — known for his long tenures with ACCEPT, GRAVE DIGGER, and REBELLION — returned to writing music entirely on his own terms. Following his departure from ACCEPT in 2025 after more than a decade as a member, the project stepped firmly into the spotlight.
The new track draws its inspiration from the classic video game ‚Thief: The Dark Project‘, exploring the eternal struggle between nature and technology within a medieval-influenced steampunk setting. Sonically, the song is shaped in part by the newly developed ‚Lulis-Signature Amp‘ by Tube Workshop Amplification, which lends the record its warm, cutting guitar tone. The band describes its approach as ‚Rock 2.0‘ — a sound that sits between hard rock and metal, deliberately analog in production, eschewing artificial intelligence in favour of real drums and live performances.
The lineup features Erdmann Görg on vocals, Cord Kunze on bass, and Katharina Kunnert on drums, piano and vocals. A standout moment on ‚Analog‘ is the track ‚Faust‘, a duet between Görg and ASP, a longtime friend of Lulis, in which ASP takes on the role of Mephistopheles in a musical interpretation of Goethe’s Faust. The album will be available on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digitally. Live dates are planned for autumn 2026, with a confirmed show on 8 January 2027 in Hamburg supporting IRON SAVIOUR.
