A „Sweet Melody“ from Los Angeles:THE MERCURY RIOTS release hot new video single after performance at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2024!

What’s that sweet melody massaging your eardrums? Yep, they’ve bloody well done it again. THE MERCURY RIOTS have been extremely busy lately. Having just returned from the legendary Wacken Open Air, where they played the LGH Clubstage on Monday, they’re ready to release another video single from their critically acclaimed album „In Solstice“.

After their very first video single „Be Yours“ in April this year, which was a foretaste of their red-hot album „In Solstice“, which we have been able to enjoy online everywhere since 21 June, THE MERCURY RIOTS are now following up with a summer hit for everyone and surprising us with another video single: „Sweet Melody“. On the new track, the four besties from L.A. once again delight us with their hard and heavy melodies, which sound even sexier this time (how do they do it?).

You’ll find yourself tapping your feet to the smooth guitar sounds, bobbing your head along to the captivating vocals and tapping your fingers to the banging drums of this ear-catching crowd favourite. „Sweet Melody“ is a captivating blend of rock’n’roll energy and melodic hooks. The song’s driving rhythm and bluesy guitar riffs create a dynamic backdrop for the captivating vocals; plus a catchy chorus that is both memorable and emotional. And it all adds up to a truly outstanding track. The deeply romantic lyrics conjure up images of smoke-fuelled, drunken walks on sleepless nights with soulmates, as well as a strong us-against-the-rest-of-the-world feeling. „Sweet Melody“ is about what it’s like to have a person in your life who you know will stick by your side through thick and thin, a partner in crime who helps you conquer the world and live every day like it’s your last.

The video for the single (directed by Niko Rtshiladze) definitely has a mesmerising, creative-artistic style that can be attributed to the inventive production technique. The production quality is top notch and emphasises the raw, authentic vibe of the music. Rtshiladze’s direction captures the essence of L.A.’s rock culture. In the video, the four band members Felipe Rodrigo (guitar), Jonny Udell (drums), Justin Walker (lead vocals) and Fede Delfino (bass) – long hair, dark clothes, with a cheeky twinkle in their eyes and a provocative hint of a dirty grin on their lips – casually stroll through their hometown of Los Angeles, across the famous Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Boulevard: the visuals emphasise the energetic vibe of the song and perfectly match the mood of the track. And now that festival season is coming to an end, it’s time to top up the L.A. muscle rock tank and keep the good vibes going with another healthy dose of boogie-esque rock’n’roll, garnished with an appropriate amount of smoky growling.

And it is precisely this vibe that THE MERCURY RIOTS are currently bringing to Europe with their tour – and recently also to the legendary LGH Clubstage at the Wacken Open Air, where the brilliant live artists delivered a killer performance. The interview is available on Instagram: HERE
