FEUERSCHWANZ Ignite a New Era with the Epic Reimagining of “Das Elfte Gebot” and Their Upcoming Album Knightclub

Germany’s number one medieval metal band FEUERSCHWANZ return with a powerful reimagining of their fan-favorite anthem “Das Elfte Gebot” (The Eleventh Commandment) – now released in a stunning Epic Edition. A haunting orchestral version infused with cinematic depth, this new take transforms the 2020 hit into an emotional journey through transience, passion, and defiant joy.

Originally a hard-hitting folk metal track, “Das Elfte Gebot” now expands into a majestic soundscape where sorrow and strength intertwine. FEUERSCHWANZ once again prove their ability to blend theatrical storytelling with genuine emotional weight.

“This time, we go deep into the heart. In the Epic Orchestra version of ‘Das Elfte Gebot,’ the Hauptmann shows himself more vulnerable than ever. This one-shot video draws you in like magic. Music and visuals become one – a moment full of honesty.” – FEUERSCHWANZ

The track is part of various deluxe editions of their upcoming studio album Knightclub, set for release on August 22, 2025 via Napalm Records. The album marks a bold new chapter for the band – not only is Knightclub their first album to carry an English title, but many of the lyrics also venture into English-language territory. It’s a high-octane mix of party anthems, melodic hymns, and driving metal riffs – all delivered with FEUERSCHWANZ’s signature wink and sword-sharp edge.

From Medieval Mischief to Mainstream Metal

Celebrating 20 years as a band, FEUERSCHWANZ have undergone a remarkable transformation. With two #1 albums on the official German charts, near sold-out headlining tours, and millions of streams and video views, they’ve become one of the most successful and in-demand acts in the German metal landscape.

Their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025’s German pre-selection brought them massive national attention, introducing the band far beyond the borders of the metal scene. The title track “Knightclub” – which set the ESC stage ablaze – features Dag-Alexis Kopplin of SDP, while tracks like “Valhalla” (featuring Doro Pesch), “Avalon”, and “The Tale of Sam The Brave” explore epic and emotional themes, from Norse myth to Tolkien lore. The single “Lords Of Fyre”, featuring Lord Of The Lost, offers a fiery preview of the massive joint tour ahead.

Produced by Simon Michael (Subway To Sally), mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Arch Enemy, Volbeat, Evergrey), and adorned with artwork by Peter Sallai (Powerwolf, Sabaton, Hammerfall), Knightclub is poised to become another milestone in the band’s evolving legacy.
