GLORYHAMMER announce new album ‚Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath‘

Scottish power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER have announced their fifth studio album, ‚Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath‘, set for release on October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records. The record serves as a direct sequel to the beloved 2015 opus ‚Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards‘, continuing the epic saga of the McFife dynasty.GLORYHAMMER are returning with a vengeance. The Scottish power metal institution has announced their fifth full-length album, ‚Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath‘, scheduled for release on October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records. Picking up directly where 2015’s ‚Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards‘ left off, the new record places Crown Prince Angus McFife V of Fife at its centre, last heard on the 2022 standalone single ‚Fly Away‘, as he embarks on a perilous journey through space and time toward the distant future of 1993.

Spanning eleven tracks, ‚Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath‘ finds GLORYHAMMER drawing from a broader palette of influences than ever before, weaving together classic power metal, thrash, synth-rock and sweeping orchestral arrangements without compromising the anthemic songwriting and instantly recognisable hooks that have defined the band’s sound. The album was self-produced by GLORYHAMMER and mixed by Jacob Hansen, known for his work with Volbeat and Amaranthe.

The band describe the record as the triumphant conclusion to the Space 1993 chapter, promising multidimensional wormholes, abandoned space stations and epic battles across its runtime. The album’s closing track, ‚The Celestial Warhost of the Dundonian Empire Marches to Space Against the Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault on Battlemoon X-22‘, clocks in at nearly thirteen minutes, divided into four dramatic chapters. Pre-orders are live now across multiple limited formats including a wooden boxset, gatefold vinyl variants, digipak CD and digital. A full European tour supporting the release is scheduled for October and November 2026, with Majestica and Arion confirmed as support acts.
