GODTHRYMM Unveil New Single ‚Jewels‘ Ahead Of Album ‚Projections‘

UK doom metal heavyweights GODTHRYMM have released ‚Jewels‘, the latest single and accompanying video from their forthcoming third album ‚Projections‘. The record is set for release on May 29 via Profound Lore Records, completing a trilogy that began with their 2020 debut ‚Reflections‘.UK doom metal heavyweights GODTHRYMM have unveiled ‚Jewels‘, the latest single and video taken from their forthcoming third full-length album ‚Projections‘, due out May 29 via Profound Lore Records. The track follows previously released singles ‚Truth In My Own‘ and ‚The Sun Never Fell‘, and once again showcases the band’s command of crushing melancholy, towering riffs, and emotionally charged atmosphere, seamlessly merging heaviness with haunting melodic depth.

With ‚Projections‘, GODTHRYMM bring to a close a trilogy that began with their 2020 debut ‚Reflections‘ and continued with the critically acclaimed 2023 record ‚Distortions‘. Over that period, the band have steadily established themselves as one of the most significant emerging forces within the UK doom scene, widely recognized for channeling the spirit of early-to-mid 1990s British doom metal — a tradition closely associated with genre pioneers such as My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, and Anathema.

That lineage is no coincidence. GODTHRYMM was founded and is helmed by veteran guitarist and vocalist Hamish Glencross, formerly of My Dying Bride, Vallenfyre, and Solstice, while drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels brings additional pedigree from his tenure with My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Solstice. The band’s expanded lineup also includes Bob Crolla on bass, Catherine Glencross on keys and vocals, and Kris McLaughin on guitar.

‚Projections‘ was recorded across multiple studios with Andy Hawkins and Glencross at the production helm, with cover artwork handled by Mitchell Nolte. The album is described as GODTHRYMM’s most layered, varied, and aggressive work to date, pushing their sound into new dimensions while preserving the colossal emotional heaviness that has defined them from the start. An album release show is scheduled for June 6 at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds.
