CRIMSON GLORY Drop Hi-Res ‚Chasing The Hydra‘ Amid Rave Reviews

CRIMSON GLORY have released a 24-bit hi-res audio version of their comeback album ‚Chasing The Hydra‘ on Bandcamp, marking the band’s first new record in over 26 years. The album is already drawing widespread critical acclaim and is currently charting at number three on Sentinel Daily’s Top 30 Album Chart.CRIMSON GLORY have taken another step in their highly celebrated return with the release of a 24-bit hi-res audio download of their new album ‚Chasing The Hydra,‘ now available via Bandcamp through BraveWords Records. The record marks the American progressive metal outfit’s first studio album in more than 26 years and has arrived to an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and critics alike.

The band addressed their supporters directly, expressing gratitude to their fanbase — affectionately dubbed ‚The Crimson Militia‘ — and noting that a core goal of the album was to bridge the gap between their revered debut and its celebrated follow-up, ‚Transcendence,‘ and the new material. ‚We are honored by all the very positive feedback, which of course will drive us to bring it even harder live,‘ the band stated.

Critical reception has been exceptional across the board. Rolling Stone France called the comeback ‚as unexpected as it is delightful,‘ while Sweden Rock Magazine praised vocalist Travis Wills for his theatrical bravado. Velvet Thunder awarded the album a perfect 10 out of 10, describing it as ‚the best thing this band has put out since 1988.‘ XS Rock, Music In Belgium, and Lots Of Muzik echoed similar sentiments, with the latter noting that CRIMSON GLORY ‚have not returned to reclaim a throne — they’ve returned to remind us why it mattered.‘

Alongside founding members Ben Jackson, Jeff Lords, and Dana Burnell, the current lineup features new vocalist Travis Wills and guitarist Mark Borgmeyer. CRIMSON GLORY are also set for an extensive 2026 touring schedule across Europe and North America, including appearances at Wacken Open Air and Alcatraz Open Air.
