German melodic death metal quintet MISSION IN BLACK have released their third studio album ‚Divinity Of Lies‘, marking another decisive step forward in the band’s growing international career. Produced once again by Sebastian ‚Seeb‘ Levermann, the record showcases the band’s signature blend of ferocious growls, soaring clean vocals and razor-sharp instrumental work.MISSION IN BLACK, the five-piece melodic death metal outfit from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, have officially released their third studio album, ‚Divinity Of Lies‘, via El Puerto Records. Mixed and mastered once again by Sebastian ‚Seeb‘ Levermann, known for his work with Orden Ogan, Rhapsody Of Fire and Brainstorm, the record continues the trajectory the band has been building since their 2018 debut ‚Anthems Of A Dying Breed‘.
The ten-track album demonstrates the hallmarks that have come to define MISSION IN BLACK: vocalist Steffi Stuber’s commanding transitions between gritty growls and melodic clean singing, interlaced with technically refined yet powerfully driven guitar work from Daniel Tschoepe and Eddie Stübner. The result is a record that balances accessibility with genuine metallic intensity.
To accompany the release, the band have unveiled an official lyric video for the track ‚Liquid Fire‘. Drummer Andy Black commented on the track: „For quite a while, I only knew this song as an instrumental version. We have an extremely catchy guitar lead here, and I was really curious to see how Steffi would add her own touches to the vocal lines. With the vocal melodies, the song now sounds super catchy, but it still has a lot of changes, which keeps it musically exciting.“
‚Divinity Of Lies‘ is available on CD, vinyl and as a limited edition collector’s box. MISSION IN BLACK have an active live schedule for 2026, including a headline appearance at the RVBang Festival in Balingen alongside Michael Schenker, Sonata Arctica and Tankard.
