The 10th anniversary edition of The Evil Divide arrives July 24th via Nuclear Blast Records, featuring a previously vinyl-exclusive bonus track making its worldwide streaming debut.DEATH ANGEL have announced a 10th anniversary vinyl reissue of their critically acclaimed eighth studio album, The Evil Divide, scheduled for release on July 24th through Nuclear Blast Records. Originally issued on May 27, 2016, the album stands as one of the most celebrated entries in the band’s four-decade catalog, capturing the ferocity, precision, and relentless energy that have long defined the Bay Area thrash institution.
Produced by Jason Suecoff at AudioHammer Studios, The Evil Divide earned widespread praise for its explosive songwriting, technical intensity, and emotionally charged performances, further cementing DEATH ANGEL’s standing among thrash metal’s elite. The anniversary LP edition introduces a significant addition to the tracklist: ‚Wasteland,‘ the band’s powerful interpretation of the 1986 song originally performed by THE MISSION. Previously available only on select limited CD digipak editions outside the United States, the track makes its vinyl debut with this reissue while simultaneously becoming available for streaming worldwide for the very first time.
The announcement arrives as DEATH ANGEL continue their ongoing U.S. tour commemorating the 35th anniversary of their landmark 1990 album Act III, performed in its entirety at each stop. The tour spans major markets across the country through June 2025, with the Act III Anniversary Tour set to extend into 2026 and 2027. The reissue of The Evil Divide reinforces the band’s commitment to honoring milestones in their storied legacy while maintaining their reputation as one of contemporary thrash metal’s most vital live and recording acts.
