Dutch melodic metal outfit DELAIN have announced ten special European live shows for February 2027, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album Lucidity. The tour will feature former NIGHTWISH bassist and vocalist Marko Hietala as a special guest, alongside support act INFECTED RAIN, with further guest names to be revealed. Two decades after the release of their debut album Lucidity, DELAIN are marking the milestone in style by announcing a ten-date European headline tour scheduled for February 2027. The Dutch melodic metal act, long regarded as one of the most consistent forces in the symphonic and synth-driven metal scene, have built an impressive discography over the years, with albums such as April Rain, We Are the Others, The Human Contradiction, and the most recent Dark Waters in 2023. That latter release proved to be a commercial high point for the band, charting at number nine in both the official German album charts and the US Hard Music Albums Charts.
For this special anniversary run, DELAIN are embracing an expanded live concept that will incorporate a rotating cast of high-profile guest musicians and vocalists, promising each night to be a distinct and memorable experience. The first confirmed guest is Marko Hietala, the Finnish musician whose long-standing creative relationship with DELAIN founder Martijn Westerholt has produced some of the band’s most celebrated moments. His involvement alone is expected to draw considerable attention from fans across the continent.
Special guest support across the tour will be provided by INFECTED RAIN, with additional support acts still to be announced. The ten dates span Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, running from February 2 through February 11, 2027, with shows in Cologne, Bremen, Berlin, Leipzig, Karlsruhe, Pratteln, Munich, Frankfurt, Esch-sur-Alzette, and Tilburg.
Ticket pre-sales are set to begin on Thursday, May 7 at 13:00. DELAIN are also reported to be working on a new release featuring notable collaborations, expected to arrive ahead of the tour.
