METALITE Drop New Music Video for Explosive Single ‚Starchild‘

Swedish modern metal force METALITE have unveiled a brand-new music video for their latest single ‚Starchild,‘ the second release from their upcoming concept album ‚Discovery.‘ The track marks another bold step forward for the band following their recent signing with PERCEPTION, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music.METALITE are keeping the momentum firmly in their favour with the release of a striking new music video for ‚Starchild,‘ the latest single to emerge from their forthcoming concept album ‚Discovery.‘ The Swedish modern metal outfit, who recently joined the roster of PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music – first introduced the album campaign with the high-energy track ‚Our Time Has Come,‘ and now deepen the narrative with this equally ambitious follow-up.

‚Starchild‘ showcases everything that has made METALITE a standout force in contemporary melodic metal: soaring vocal lines, powerful guitar work, and densely layered synthesiser textures that craft a distinctly futuristic atmosphere. The song pulls listeners directly into the conceptual world of ‚Discovery,‘ offering a compelling glimpse at the story the band is building across the full record. The accompanying music video expands on the sci-fi visual language the group has cultivated throughout their career, delivering a cinematic complement to the track’s epic scope.

Guitarist, producer, songwriter and band founder Edwin Premberg offered insight into the creative intent behind the single: ‚Starchild is a key piece of the concept behind our upcoming album Discovery. It is a classic METALITE track, packed with high energy and soaring melodies but with some new influences. I wanted to create something heavier, a song that is truly headbang-friendly with a chorus everyone will be singing along to.‘

Formed in 2015, METALITE have steadily refined their sound across a string of concept-driven albums, from the 2017 debut ‚Heroes in Time‘ through to ‚Expedition One‘ in 2024. With ‚Discovery‘ on the horizon and new drummer Erik Junttila now firmly embedded in the lineup, the band show no sign of slowing down.
