VOLBEAT- God Of Angels Trust – Release: 06.06.25 – Genre: Rock/Metal

The Danish rock heavyweights VOLBEAT are back — louder, bolder, and more emotionally charged than ever. Today marks the release of their ninth studio album, “God Of Angels Trust”, out now via Vertigo/Universal Music. Listen here.

With just three core members — Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Jon Larsen (drums), and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) — VOLBEAT have delivered a record that refuses to play by the rules.Far from coasting on past success, VOLBEAT dismantle their own songwriting habits on this album.

“God Of Angels Trust” is fierce and melodic, blending gritty metal energy with soaring melodies in a way only VOLBEAT can. It’s unmistakably their sound — but with a raw, fresh edge that pushes their signature style into unexplored territory.

And if you think groundbreaking albums need years of refinement, think again. VOLBEAT wrote and recorded this entire project in just five weeks. The result? A record that feels intensely focused, deeply layered, and surprisingly adventurous. It’s a testament to the band’s drive to create something urgent, honest, and full of life.

Alongside the album, VOLBEAT have released a powerful new single and music video: “Demonic Depression”.

Watch it here:

According to Poulsen, the song is inspired by a close friend’s long battle with mental health — but its impact is far-reaching:> “Almost everyone I played it to asked if it was about them. That’s scary and shows how many people silently struggle with these issues,” he says. “Depression is universal. One of the best things you can do is talk to someone — and really listen.”The emotional honesty in “Demonic Depression” sets the tone for an album that’s as introspective as it is explosive. “God Of Angels Trust” isn’t just a sonic evolution — it’s a bold statement of empathy, strength, and reinvention. And the timing couldn’t be better: VOLBEAT are hitting the road with their “Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide”, spanning North America, Europe, and the UK. Expect thunderous performances, heartfelt moments, and a new setlist that celebrates their legacy — and their fearless new chapter.VOLBEAT are not just back. They’re breaking boundaries.
