MESHUGGAH Announce Remastered Anniversary Editions of Two Landmark Albums

Swedish extreme metal pioneers MESHUGGAH have announced remastered anniversary editions of two defining works: Destroy Erase Improve: 30th Anniversary Edition and Catch Thirtythree: 20th Anniversary Edition. Both titles arrive on vinyl, CD digipack, and digital formats on July 24th, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music. Remastered singles from each album are already available to stream.Swedish extreme metal architects MESHUGGAH have confirmed the release of newly remastered anniversary editions of two of the most significant albums in their catalog. Destroy Erase Improve: 30th Anniversary Edition and Catch Thirtythree: 20th Anniversary Edition will both be available on vinyl, CD digipack, and digitally on July 24th, 2026, through Reigning Phoenix Music.

The announcement follows limited Record Store Day pressings that arrived earlier this year featuring alternate cover artwork. For these wider anniversary releases, MESHUGGAH restore both albums to their original visual identities while retaining the newly remastered audio developed for the milestone campaign.

Originally issued in 1995, Destroy Erase Improve marked a turning point not only for MESHUGGAH but for heavy music as a whole. The album introduced the band’s signature blend of machine-like rhythmic precision, dissonant riff architecture, and jazz-fusion elements, establishing a blueprint that would go on to shape progressive, extreme, and math metal for decades. To mark the anniversary, the remastered single „Future Breed Machine“ has been made available across all streaming platforms.

Released a decade later in 2005, Catch Thirtythree represents one of MESHUGGAH’s most radical artistic statements. A continuous 47-minute composition divided into 13 movements, the album is built around hypnotic repetition, shifting rhythmic illusions, and crushing eight-string guitar work. Notably, it remains the band’s only full-length record constructed entirely with programmed drums, using Toontrack’s Drumkit From Hell technology. The remastered track „Shed“ has been released to accompany the announcement.

Both anniversary editions underscore the enduring influence of MESHUGGAH across generations of heavy music listeners and creators alike.
