Italian synthwave-metal project V.B.O. has released their new single ‚Monsters!‘, a shadowy dive into the vices of modern society. The track previews the upcoming debut full-length, also titled Vice Business Only, set for release on July 24, 2026, via Reigning Phoenix Music.Italian retro-futuristic outfit V.B.O. — short for VICE BUSINESS ONLY — have unveiled their latest single, ‚Monsters!‘, a track that peels back the neon-lit glamour of contemporary life to expose the darker impulses lurking beneath. The single arrives ahead of the band’s debut full-length album, also titled Vice Business Only, scheduled for release on July 24, 2026, through Reigning Phoenix Music.
Founded in 2023 by Francesco Cavalieri, best known as the frontman of power metal veterans WIND ROSE, and electronic music producer Simone Giusti, V.B.O. draws on a cinematic, urban aesthetic inspired by acts such as DEPECHE MODE, TEARS FOR FEARS, DAFT PUNK, and JUSTICE. The full lineup is completed by Claudio Falconcini on guitar, Federico Meranda on keyboards, and Angelo Carmignani on drums.
Musically, ‚Monsters!‘ opens with explosive beats before heavy rhythmic stabs and melodic guitar riffs emerge beneath layers of warm analogue synth textures. The anthemic chorus refrain ‚we are monsters‘ drives the track forward, while a darkened breakdown passage adds further depth and tension.
Frontman Cavalieri described the creative vision behind the single: „‚Monsters‘ dives into the darker side of modern society, exposing the vices we often choose to ignore or disguise. Beneath the neon lights and cinematic aesthetic lies a deeper message — like a reflection of a world that often masks its imperfections behind glamour.“
The accompanying music video was filmed at Vacuum Club in Milan, transforming social flaws into literal monsters set against the backdrop of electric urban nightlife. The album was recorded at LSD-Studios in Lübeck, Germany, and produced, mixed, and mastered by Lasse Lammert. V.B.O. made their live debut in January 2026 at the 70000 Tons of Metal festival in the United States.
