HAMMER KING are set to reissue their landmark 2016 album ‚King Is Rising‘ in a fully remastered edition on 11 September 2026 via Reaper Entertainment. The anniversary release marks a decade since the record helped define the band’s signature sound and royal mythology.HAMMER KING have announced the ‚King Is Rising (10th Anniversary Remastered Edition)‘, due for release on 11 September 2026 through Reaper Entertainment. Ten years after its original publication, the album that many consider a cornerstone of the band’s identity returns in a sonically refined new form.
The remaster was handled by Alexander Ecker, whose work brings greater clarity, depth and punch to the recordings without altering the fundamental character of the original. According to the band, the goal was to realise the sonic vision they always had for the material while preserving its raw energy and anthemic spirit.
In their own words: „‚King Is Rising‘ was the album on which we first found exactly the sound that HAMMER KING stands for today. Ten years later, these songs still feel just as powerful as they did back then. With the remaster, we wanted to give them the sound we always had in our heads — without changing their soul. For us, this release is a bow to our Hammer Heroes and at the same time an invitation to rediscover the origin of our kingdom.“
Originally released in 2016, ‚King Is Rising‘ was a decisive step in HAMMER KING’s evolution, establishing their signature blend of classic heavy metal, epic grandeur and infectious, choir-ready refrains. Many of its tracks became live staples and are regarded as foundational pillars of the HAMMER KING universe.
Since that record, the German power metal outfit has gone from strength to strength. Albums including ‚Kingdemonium‘, ‚König und Kaiser‘ and most recently ‚Make Metal Royal Again‘ have carried HAMMER KING into the German album charts and onto stages across Europe. In late 2025, the band also celebrated the tenth anniversary of their debut ‚Kingdom Of The Hammer King‘ with a reissue and successful European tour.
