Nine years after „Laune der Natur,“ Die Toten Hosen are finally releasing another LP with new songs! With „Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!“ + bonus album „Alles muss raus!,“ the five musicians are coming full circle almost 45 years after their formation in 1982: it will be the band’s last regular studio album.
„Someone shouted in the rehearsal room: ‚Let’s make one last album!‘. I have no idea who it was exactly, but in any case, the enthusiasm was great. We then decided together to go all out and give it our all,“ says Campino. And it’s true, the band fires off everything from loud to soft and beyond, covering the whole range that we’ve come to expect from them.
The new songs are complemented by the bonus album „Alles muss raus!“ (Everything must go!): „As a gift to ourselves and our fans, we recorded 25 cover songs with colleagues who are important to us or close to our hearts,“ says the band about their upcoming work.
For the front cover of „Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!“ , the band members have a special surprise in store: „We are very happy that we were able to convince our good friend Andreas Gursky to take on the design of the cover motif. Based on one of his most important pictures, a cover photo was created that surprised both sides.“
The album is being released as a limited and numbered deluxe triple vinyl edition of 19,820 copies in a cardboard slipcase with „Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!“ in a gatefold cover in transparent white 180g vinyl & bonus album as orange-transparent 180g double vinyl in a gatefold cover plus a high-quality photo print autographed by the band, two 8-page booklets and printed inner sleeves, as a triple vinyl standard edition in a high-quality gatefold cover, two 8-page booklets and printed inner sleeves, double CD, the limited first edition in an eight-page digipack with a 24-page and a 28-page booklet, as well as streaming and download.
