DRUNKEN SWALLOWS are back with their new single „Wenn die Nacht Dich nicht mehr loslässt“! In the truest sense of the word. You can look forward to the upcoming album „Echos alter Tage,“ because as the title suggests, it’s a journey through time. „I think the guitar riff really rocks,“ says Dennis Dee Dxg Lindner, the band’s guitarist.
„Wenn die Nacht Dich nicht mehr loslässt“ is right there! Memorable, epic guitars without losing any punch. Powerful, profound lyrics and a chorus that immediately gets everyone moving. „It’s the classic walk through the night. Your head is full, you think and feel how the night engulfs you,“ says singer Frank Hoffmann, adding: „You should always follow the light. Stay on the side of the light.“
This song leaves you wanting more, and there will be more from DRUNKEN SWALLOWS soon. „Im Namen Des Wahnsinns“ will be followed in April 2026 by the next studio album from the four punk rockers from the far north. The title and the band are sure to catch the attention of their fans and all friends of honest punk rock. The title of the album already gives a hint of where the musical journey will take us. As on „Im Namen Des Wahnsinns,“ this time it’s back to the roots again.
Back to the roots from which a gem of punk rock grew. „Echos alter Tage“ bears clear traces of days gone by. A touch of melancholy, but also hope, love, and everything that really matters in life is processed, recounted, and lived in the 13 songs. In typical Swallows fashion, it is a cross-section of all the chapters of everyday life. The album is carried by the fresh wind that the four Swallows always have under their wings. In fall 2026, the Swallows will also go on a headlining tour. In addition to new merchandise and the new album, you can also look forward to the punks‘ awesome shows, where you are repeatedly shown in no uncertain terms how much this music lives and connects.
What do the „echoes of old days“ tell us? Do they merely tell stories from the past? Or do they remind us of things long lost, but which are still so meaningful and valuable today?
