W.A.S.P. Live in Europe – All Power, Not Enough Playtime – Location: Schlachthof Wiesbaden, June 13, 2025

As part of their “40 Years of W.A.S.P.” tour, the legendary shock rockers returned to Germany to celebrate the milestone anniversary of their iconic self-titled debut album. The venue: Schlachthof Wiesbaden – packed, loud, and ready for a night of metal nostalgia.

But the show started off on a slightly rocky note. With no support act and a 30-minute delay, the band finally hit the stage around 9:00 PM. Still, once the first chords rang out, it was clear: W.A.S.P. came to deliver. Performing the entire 1984 W.A.S.P. album from start to finish, the band treated fans to a raw, high-energy set full of metal anthems that helped define an era.

Tracks like “I Wanna Be Somebody”, “L.O.V.E. Machine”, and “Blind in Texas” ignited the crowd, with the nearly sold-out audience singing and shouting every word. The sound was powerful, the performance tight, and Blackie Lawless commanded the stage like the seasoned frontman he is.

But then, just as the energy was peaking – it ended. After roughly 70 minutes, Lawless simply said: “Thank you, see you next time” – and the lights came on. No encore. No final bow. Just silence and a crowd left standing, visibly confused.

For a tour meant to celebrate four decades of W.A.S.P.’s legacy, it felt like a missed opportunity. The performance was strong, but many fans had hoped for more: more songs, more interaction, and a proper closing chapter to what should have been a landmark night.
