The track features the raw, gritty guest vocals of Tijs Vanneste and sets the tone for what the band describes as the definitive closing chapter of their trilogy.
Rather than casting history’s most debated biblical figure as a villain, ‚Iskariot‘ reimagines Judas as a symbol of necessary sacrifice — a key that shatters illusion and points toward inner clarity. Thematically, the song challenges listeners to abandon external noise and reconnect with dormant wisdom, framing betrayal not as damnation but as transformation.
Founded in Mol, Belgium, ECHOES OF A DYING WORLD have built their reputation on a sound that refuses easy categorisation. Their discography began with the 2022 EP ‚Before The Fall‘, followed by the 2023 full-length debut ‚Tribulation‘, both of which established the band’s signature blend of atmospheric density and aggressive precision. Vocalist Tine Vanmuysen anchors the sonic architecture alongside guitarists Wim Melis and Michiel Debie, bassist Gert Cools and drummer Jasper Vreys.
‚Revelations‘ was recorded, mixed and mastered by Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio. The five-track EP will also include ‚The Rupture‘, ‚Generational Curses‘, ‚Mathematical Design‘ and ‚Systems In The Dark‘. With ‚Iskariot‘, ECHOES OF A DYING WORLD signal that their most ambitious work is still ahead.
