Swedish power metal heroes BLOODBOUND recently went into battle with their epic eleventh album Field Of Swords, and now they’re back with another video from the album. „The Nine Crusades“ is another anthem with a historical theme, treating the eponymous event of the Crusades in typical BLOODBOUND fashion: a rousing mix of melodic and heavy power metal.
Joining the sextet here is Brittney Slayes, singer of Canadian band UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, who duets with Patrik J. Selleby on the mid-tempo anthem. Not only is „The Nine Crusades“ the perfect closing track for the album, but also a powerful preview of things to come.
BLOODBOUND are currently preparing to perform their new songs live. Starting on March 12, they will support their label mates ANGUS McSIX on tour, with additional support from Brainstorm.
Beginning in Hamburg, the tour will take them through eleven cities, with the final date in Eindhoven on March 22. After that, BLOODBOUND will play at various European festivals, including Full Metal Mayrhofen, organized by Wacken, and Alcatraz Festival in Belgium. The complete list of dates can be found below!

„Most of the song was written by me and Tomas in 2018, back then for the band Sabaton! Joakim Brodén from Sabaton liked the demo and wanted to continue working on the song with us, but in the end, the collaboration never happened. I always felt that this was a really strong song, so we decided to use it ourselves for a new album. I’m proud of ‚The Nine Crusades‘ – it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever been involved in writing!

„It’s a great honor to be on this BLOODBOUND track. I’ve been a fan of the band for over a decade, and when they asked me if I wanted to be a guest vocalist, I immediately said yes!
This song is quite different from what we do with UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and doesn’t match my own writing style at all. I was excited to sing something new and add my own touch. The whole collaboration was a lot of fun, and I’m glad I’m also featured in the music video—it was very nice of them to include me. I hope the fans like this song and think I’ve added something valuable to this already great band!“
