What if your favorite fantasy RPG had a soundtrack that combined fiery metal with cinematic symphonies? When ancient magic awakens at the boundaries of reality, legends and spirits emerge from the mist, and AVALAND follows its destiny. In a symbiosis of power metal and operatic aesthetics, the band from France unleashes a new dimension of storytelling. Between explosive riffs and orchestral opulence, the result is not simple songs, but immersive metal anthems. With each track, another fragment unfolds, drawing the listener deep into the heart of a larger, epic legend.
In AVALAND’s new single „Sail On“ (release date: February 27), we follow an alchemist who falls into the realm of the dead… but does not die. Guided by the god of time, who takes the form of the ferryman Charon, he must navigate the depths of hell, protected by the Gypsum Flower—a mystical stone first introduced in the band’s two previous albums.
„This is the first song our guitarist Lucas composed. He wanted to record a track to replace my first idea, which was too ‚happy‘ for the theme of this song. Everyone in the band was immediately enthusiastic, and it was really cool to put the finishing touches on this song together. All the band members and everyone who heard the demo agree that it’s a really strong track—an epic and dramatic anthem that you just have to sing along to!“ says band leader Adrien.
