The fourth studio album from Finnish melodic metal powerhouse ARION, „The Light That Burns The Sky“, will finally hit stores on February 28, 2025 via RPM (Finland: Ranka Kustannus; Japan: Avalon Label / Marquee Inc.). After the band’s powerful and melodic previous single ‚Like The Phoenix I Will Rise‘ left fans open-mouthed, today they present the final taste of their upcoming album. ARION’s brand new track with the intriguing title ‚Blasphemous Paradise‘ masterfully combines two different musical worlds: On the one hand, it is driven by classic metal riffing and powerful drums, while on the other Lassi Vääränen’s vocals take center stage, giving the track an undeniable pop stamp.
„Although ‚Blasphemous Paradise‘ is one of the simpler tracks on the album, it still kicks some serious ass as it pokes fun at pathological liars and the moment you catch them in the act. I actually wrote the song at the beginning of the „The Light That Burns The Sky“ creative process. Musically, I kept it quite simple, but finding the right lyrics took a bit more time. When words like ‚chase‘ and ‚rehearsal‘ came into my head, the story finally took shape, which I was really happy about!“, comments songwriter/guitarist Iivo Kaipainen.

‚Blasphemous Paradise‘ will be released just in time for the start of ARION’s live year 2025, which will begin with five shows alongside STRATOVARIUS and SONATA ARCTICA in their native Finland, before the band will present their new material live to German and Swiss audiences as part of „The Plague That Burns The Sky“ co-headline tour with label mates BRAINSTORM (support: STRANGER VISION).
