Ecuadorian deathcore pioneers SARCOMA have released their explosive new single ‚En Llamas‘, a brutal moshpit-ready track blending Latin rhythms with extreme metal. The release serves as a preview of the band’s forthcoming album, expected later in 2026.Ecuadorian deathcore outfit SARCOMA have unveiled their latest single, ‚En Llamas‘ — Spanish for ‚on fire‘ or ‚in flames‘ — a ferocious and unrelenting track that cements the band’s reputation as South America’s foremost extreme metal force. Designed explicitly for the moshpit, the single arrives as a precursor to SARCOMA’s upcoming full-length album, set for release later in 2026.
Musically, ‚En Llamas‘ is a hybrid construction that draws from Latin rhythmic traditions and modern extreme metal. The track opens with obliterating percussion rooted in both Latin and death metal idioms, before giving way to blackened death metal riffing and a metallic hardcore chorus steeped in Latin influence. The arrangement builds toward a progressive breakdown, culminating in an apocalyptic atmosphere that demonstrates the full breadth of SARCOMA’s sonic palette.
A subtle audio sample — ‚welcome to hell‘, lifted from one of the Hellraiser films — is hidden just before the first chorus, continuing SARCOMA’s established practice of incorporating cinematic dialogue to deepen the thematic weight of their music. Lyrically, the track explores exhaustion, laceration, and the visceral sensation of a deadly circle pit.
The single was produced by Juan Pablo Flores and recorded at Valley of the Death recording studio, with mixing and mastering handled by Juan Pablo Rivas.
Formed in Quito, Ecuador, in 2006, SARCOMA are widely regarded as the fathers of deathcore in South America and the first Spanish-language deathcore band in the world. Drawing influence from DECAPITATED, DYING FETUS, KNOCKED LOOSE, SEPULTURA, DESPISED ICON, and GOJIRA, the band returned in 2023 with renewed intent and have been steadily building toward this next chapter.
