Italian heavy power metal outfit FROZEN CROWN has announced their sixth studio album, ‚The Legend of the Six Kings‘, set for release on October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records. The record marks a darker, more direct chapter for the band, featuring ten new tracks that expand their dynamic sound into heavier, more epic territory.Italian heavy power metal sextet FROZEN CROWN has officially announced their sixth studio album, ‚The Legend of the Six Kings‘, due October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records. The announcement marks a significant creative shift for the band, as vocalist Giada ‚Jade‘ Etro and her bandmates embrace a darker, more uncompromising sound while retaining the grandiose power metal aesthetic that has defined their catalog.
The album’s narrative concept draws directly from FROZEN CROWN’s 2018 debut ‚The Fallen King‘, continuing the saga of kings and tyrants across ten new tracks. The record blends furious speed metal, symphonic arrangements, and moments of melodic death metal aggression into a cohesive and cinematic whole. Drummer and multi-instrumentalist Niso Tomasini steps into a more prominent songwriting role alongside Etro and guitarist Federico Mondelli, while new guitarist Aleksandra Stamenkovic contributes old-school aggressive lead work that adds a fresh dimension to the band’s sonic palette.
The album’s visual world has been realized by an expanded creative team, including photographer and visual director Raoul Noise, prop and costume designer Daria Gislon, and cover artist Sheila Franco, whose painted artwork evokes a world somewhere between Tolkien’s noble elegance and Robert E. Howard’s brutal mythology.
Standout moments include the charging opener ‚Lightning in the Sky‘, the groove-driven ‚Who Wants to Burn in Heaven‘, and a bold power metal reimagining of Goo Goo Dolls‘ 1998 hit ‚Iris‘. The title track closes the album with growled verses and dual vocal interplay between Etro and Mondelli.
FROZEN CROWN will support the release with extensive live activity, including a North American run supporting KAMELOT and a major European tour supporting Beast in Black in autumn 2026.
