TEMPLE OF DREAD have revealed the crushing music video ‚Rites of Blasphemy‘, the second advance single from their forthcoming sixth full-length ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘. Founded on the North Sea island of Spiekeroog in 2017 by guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer, TEMPLE OF DREAD have built a formidable reputation across five studio albums, from their debut ‚Blood Craving Mantras‘ (2019) through to the more cinematically expansive ‚Beyond Acheron‘ (2023) and ‚God of the Godless‘ (2024). With ‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘, the band push their sonic palette further while remaining firmly rooted in old school death metal.
Commenting on the new track, guitarist Bünnemeyer states: „Who is a true believer, and who is a blasphemer? This is always the most difficult question when you want to start a new religion. This track is a typical Temple of Dread ballad, and it will go straight to your hearts.“
The ten-track album features cover artwork by celebrated Italian painter Paolo Girardi, with production, mixing, and mastering handled by TEMPLE OF DREAD drummer Jörg Uken at his renowned Soundlodge Studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany. The expanded line-up now includes second guitarist Daniel Maurer and bassist Andi Bauer, adding further punch to the band’s already formidable sound.
‚Dreadspawn Dominion‘ will be available as a limited splatter red and black vinyl LP, standard black vinyl LP, and Jewelcase CD.
