French heavy metal force SINS OF SHADOWS have unveiled „The Void,“ the second single and opening track from their forthcoming third album. Featuring vocalist Tasos Lazaris, „The Last Frontier“ represents a significant step forward for SINS OF SHADOWS, delivering a more direct and heavier approach than its predecessors while retaining the melodic sensibility the band has built over the years. The album was written entirely by Nicolas Jacon, with mixing and mastering handled by Sebastien Normand at Aedonia Productions and artwork courtesy of Aleh.
Musically, SINS OF SHADOWS draw from the raw energy of the NWOBHM tradition — citing IRON MAIDEN and SAXON as touchstones — while embracing the ambition of progressive and power metal acts such as SYMPHONY X and ICED EARTH, and the heaviness of MEGADETH and TESTAMENT. Twin-guitar harmonies recalling THIN LIZZY add a layer of warmth and nostalgia to a sound that remains both modern and timeless.
The band was formed around the core partnership of Nicolas Jacon and Sebastien Normand, with drummer Rodolphe Plachesi rounding out the lineup. Previous releases include the albums „The Master’s Way“ and „Imperium,“ the latter drawing conceptual inspiration from the philosophical writings of Spinoza and Frederic Lordon. „The Last Frontier“ is available for pre-order now on Bandcamp.
