German death metal veterans NECROTTED have officially unleashed their new studio album ‚We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart‘ via Reaper Entertainment. The Swabian quintet delivers a politically charged and sonically uncompromising statement that critics are already hailing as a mandatory listen for fans of contemporary deathcore and extreme metal.NECROTTED, one of the most relentless forces in the German extreme metal underground, have released their latest full-length album, ‚We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart‘, now available worldwide through Reaper Entertainment. The Swabian outfit, founded in 2008 in Abtsgmünd, Baden-Württemberg, have spent over 18 years forging a reputation for razor-sharp melodic intensity fused with unrelenting brutality, and this new record marks a significant step forward in their artistic evolution.
Building on the previously released single ‚Origin Of Human Sins‘, the album takes a critical and unflinching look at modern capitalism as a driving force behind societal and moral decay. NECROTTED weave incisive lyrical metaphors throughout a musical framework that spans slam passages, catchy guitar riffs, merciless blast-beat attacks and crushing breakdowns. True to form, the lyrics are predominantly in English, accompanied by passages in German and, for the first time, Latin, all delivered through the band’s characteristically inhuman guttural vocals.
The record was recorded and mixed by Marco Bayati and mastered by Marco Kollenz, resulting in a powerful and precise production that amplifies the band’s uncompromising vision. Early reviews have been strong, with metal.de awarding 7/10 and praising the modern interpretation of the genre’s stylistic mix, while Zephyr’s Odem scored it 7.5/10, calling it an essential purchase for fans of contemporary deathcore.
With six studio albums and two EPs now in their catalogue, NECROTTED show no signs of slowing down. ‚We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart‘ is available now on all major streaming platforms and in various physical editions via Reaper Entertainment.
